Orders will be filled within 24 - 48 hours of credit card authorization. (Custom orders and special orders will be processed upon completion of product)
Shipping :
We endeavor to ship all items ordered before 12:00 NOON Eastern Standard time the same day the order is placed. Orders placed after 12:00 NOON may be sent the same day or may be shipped the following day depending on when UPS picks up. We offer UPS 2nd day as well as Next day shipping. All orders are double checked, inspected, weighed and shipped fully insured with an adult signature requirement for delivery for the safety and security of both parties. Also, please keep in mind the shipping weight shown with the item description is NOT what the knife weighs. It is simply used to determine shipping, handling and insurance charges.
Shipping rates are based on the shipping method chosen plus size, weight, insured value and security features. UPS charges extra for insurance and $2.00 for signature required which we do with ALL packages for security reasons with NO EXCEPTIONS. The rates also include a handling allowance for packing materials, processing and packaging time. We give you prices up front at the time of ordering. Shipping is NON REFUNDABLE.
When we ship your order you will receive a tracking number with estimated delivery date shortly after UPS picks up. You are responsible for being there, having somebody there or making arrangements with your local UPS hub to pick up the package. If the package is returned to us because you weren't available it will be treated as a return and return fees apply. If you want us to RE-SEND the item there will be a second shipping charge.

2nd Day Shipping:
There are certain areas that REQUIRE items be sent 2nd day air. Alaska and Hawaii are two of those areas but there are others scattered in some of the less accessible lower 48. If you order and choose regular UPS ground to an area that REQUIRES 2ND DAY AIR your charge will be adjusted to reflect the 2ND DAY AIR SHIPPING CHARGE.
Next day and 2nd DAY AIR is a SHIPPING METHOD and NOT a GUARANTEED DELIVERY TIME. If you choose next day or second day air your item will be sent accordingly but these are SHIPPING METHODS and should not be mistaken for any guarantee that you will receive your item in 24 or 48 hours. Depending on how you pay, your credit card company might not release your payment into our account right away. We will not send an item until your credit card company tenders the funds to our account. Even with next day or 2nd day shipping a 3 to 5 day wait is not uncommon. Shipping charges are non refundable.
NOTE: 99.8% of customers can skip the example below. It is included only for that special .2%.
Example: If you order NEXT DAY SHIPPING Friday at 11:00 AM your package will be processed according to our terms and your order will be processed Monday. If Monday is NOT a holiday your item will be delivered Tuesday. If Monday IS a holiday and UPS doesn't pick up, your item will be delivered Wednesday. If you order next day or second day and order after our shipping cut off time or order on a Friday or there is a holiday involved PLEASE DO NOT call or email with an irate attitude because you did not take the time to understand. Our shipping terms are easily understandable and apply to all orders not just everyone else's. If you wait until the last minute to order and don't take the time to understand exactly when your item should REALISTICALLY be delivered that is an error in judgment on your part. For the vast majority of our customers this is pure common sense but there are others who believe that the world revolves around what they want and if things don't go exactly the way they think Abusive customers, especially the irrationally abusive, will be delegated to the bottom of our customer service list. Customers that become irrationally and unreasonable irate or abusive are not, in our opinion, good customers therefore they will not be afforded "good" customer service which may involve pointing out their laps in judgment or may result in their order being cancelled all together. Before you decide to go off half cocked, check your facts. If we make a mistake we will take care of it. If you make a mistake and need assistance, we will endeavor to help in any way we can as long as assistance is requested, not demanded and delivered with an irrational and contentious tone.
We cannot send orders to PO Boxes. A UPS deliverable address is REQUIRED.
Delivery normally takes 7 to 10 days depending on where you live. Sometimes items are backordered. If a backorder occurs we will make every effort to fill your order as quickly as possible or offer a replacement of equal or greater value (within reason). We will email you for your choice. On occasion partial orders are shipped. You may choose to have your card refunded for that item in full if an item is backordered.
2nd day delivery is made available because UPS only offers 2nd day to some more remote locations. If you choose second day air your item will be sent 2nd day but that is the SHIPPING METHOD and should not be mistaken for any guarantee that you will receive your item in 48 hours. Depending on how you pay your credit card company might not release your payment into our account for at least a day or two, sometimes more. We will not send an item until your credit card company tenders the funds to our account. If you feel the need to stomp your feet and hold your breath until you turn blue because you paid for 2nd day delivery and it's been two and a half days yell at your credit card company for delaying your payment to us. Even with 2nd day shipping a 5 to 7 day wait is not uncommon.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Postal Money orders and Cash .
When ordering with a credit card you MUST use the billing address that your credit card statements are sent to.
This is a security feature for your protection. If you wish to have your order sent to a different address you may choose that option and enter a shipping address. Please send a separate Email informing us of the different shipping address and reason for shipping it there so we can authorize shipping to the secondary address. We do this as a security precaution to ensure your card is being used legitimately.

Laws vary widely from state to state and change often. We cannot keep track of the ever changing legal landscape.Therefore please note that it is the responsibility of the BUYER, NOT THE SELLER, to ascertain, comply with and abide by all applicable federal, state and local laws applying to the purchase, possession, shipment or use of any items purchased. The BUYER will hold harmless the seller or any agent or affiliate thereof in any event associated with the purchase, use, misuse or legality of any product. Buyer also holds harmless the seller for any injury of any kind associated with any item purchased. Buyer attests that they are over the age of 18 and are familiar with all applicable laws and assumes all responsibility for any statements, representations or purchases made under penalty of law.
BACKORDERS:
Automatic and switchblade knives are specialty items whether purchased as a collectable piece or as a tool. Being specialty tools and limited in production these items are manufactured in fairly small numbers compared to say... Snicker Bars or Wonder Bread. That being the case the market for these items is fairly volatile and since production runs are usually not very large and because of the limited availability of these items, backorders are always a possibility. We update our site at least daily but even at that sometimes certain items sell out during the day. Sometimes we can locate a sold out item for you and are happy to try to either find you exactly what you ordered or a suitable replacement. Sometimes items are backordered. If a backorder occurs we will make every effort to fill your order as quickly as possible or offer a replacement of equal or greater value (within reason). We will email you for your choice. If we do not hear from you a partial order may be shipped to expedite delivery of the in stock items purchased. You may choose to have your card refunded for an out of stock item or chose something similar if an item is backordered.
RETURNS:
NOTICE: ANY RETURNS MUST BE SENT VIA COMMON CARRIER, IE: ( UPS, FedEx, DHL ) INSURED SIGNATURE REQUIRED WITH A PREAUTHORIZED RMA NUMBER. PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEMS RETURNED UNINSURED THROUGH ANY COMMON CARRIER or THE U.S.P.S. THANK YOU!
INSURING ANY RETURN IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
If the buyer CHOOSES not to INSURE their return, that is THEIR PREROGATIVE and they assume any risk. Any item returned uninsured is the responsibility of the person, persons or entity that made the decision to NOT INSURE the returned item. An item is NOT considered returned until we have received it. Return authorization requests after 2 weeks of the receipt of an order will not be considered.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND insurance but we cannot force a person to spend the extra pocket change to purchase that protection. If a person makes a conscious informed adult decision to send an item back to us uninsured the item belongs to them unless and until it is delivered to us. Shippers offer insurance for a reason. Senders have the option. Send returns uninsured at your own risk.
IF AN ITEM ARRIVES DAMAGED or INCORRECT PLEASE CONTACT US WITHIN 24 HOURS. We believe 24 hours is more than enough time to recognize an obvious defect. Shipping is non refundable nor is return shipping.
Please EMAIL us at DCKnives@yahoo.com with the REASON FOR THE RETURN. We will gladly replace it or issue a refund at our option should there be an actual problem. In the case of shipping damage an investigation by the shipper may be required prior to refund or replacement.

Any returns must first be authorized by Horizon Outdoors and be returned in the condition received within 5 days of return authorization and within 2 weeks of receipt of the order. Returns should not be sent via USPS but by common carrier and should be FULLY INSURED. Sending an automatic knife through the US Postal system may result in a violation of Federal law.There will be an additional $10.00 administrative fee for any and all items returned without prior approval IF ACCEPTED. If you do not follow these procedures your return is made at your own risk. We will not be held responsible in any way for returns improperly sent.

You will receive via EMAIL a return authorization number (RMA#) to print on the outside of the shipping container. We WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS WITHOUT RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBERS. We will also not accept returns that are shipped using the original retail packaging AS the shipping container. We cannot resell a collectable product as new if you ruin the original package. If you ruin the packaging by doing this you own the item and the damaged packaging. Your item was SENT in a shipping container and should be returned in one as well.
INCLUDED with any return should be:
1. A copy of the original order.
2. Reason for return.
OR your name, address, payment type, item ordered, shop order number and the reason for the return.
Items MUST BE returned in new condition with all packaging and paperwork intact and should be returned in the original shipping box or packaging that will adequately protect the item in shipping.
We realize it is cheaper but items returned in envelopes or without proper protection are sent at the customers risk. We will not take responsibility for any damage to items improperly packaged.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS:
Our policy on "defective items" is that the buyer must submit an email in writing telling us what the supposed defect is. Since over 98% of the "defective items" are not defective at all, but the user doesn't know how to operate, use or maintain the item, we will attempt to rectify the problem via email. To save everyone involved the time, trouble and expense in shipping the item, not knowing how to operate or take care of a product does not constitute a product being "defective. If you email us because you think you have received a defective item, please do not feel you are getting the run around or are being put off by getting instructions on how to operated ithe item you purchased. Products returned as "defective" which are, in fact, perfectly operational, will be processed as any return. Please see our return policies.
